
Ms. Stanton graduated magna cum laude from St. John's University in 1986 and the Marshall Wythe School of Law, at the College of William and Mary, in 1989. She also attended Cambridge University in England where she studied international law. She began working with the firm prior to receiving her law degree and became a partner in 1998, working in the workers compensation department. She has extensive experience in dealing with all types of workers compensation claims, including those related to occupational diseases. Ms. Stanton has lectured extensively on the topic of workers compensation for many unions and bar associations. She has also been a visiting lecturer for the New York State Chiropractic Association on the topics of workers compensation, medical arbitration and occupational disease claims.
She is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and currently serves as the 1st vice President of the New York State Workers Compensation Bar Association. Ms. Stanton is also the Treasurer of the Brehon Law Society of Nassau County.
Catherine has once again been named as a Super Lawyer for 2009 in the area of Workers Compensation by Super Lawyers magazine. We are very proud that Catherine has been chosen for this honor. Catherine was also the recipient of this prestigious award in 2007 and 2008.
